If you need a lot fast you can hold a ceremony at the Spirit Altar. Alternative you can better wait to acccumulate enough from regular playing activities.

Other Ways To Get It

You have a chance of getting hero exp from the Summonings at the Hero Council. Also often a reward when killing monsters and rallying barbarian.

Keep In Mind

Consider which hero you want to use for a long time before spending Hero EXP on it, as there is no way to get the assigned Hero EXP back.
