Regular emblems can be equipped in emblem slots 1-3 of any equipment piece. No special research is necessary to equip regular emblems. The regular emblem savers need to be used to remove emblems from permanent equipment. Do not underestimate the effect of emblems. Equipping a full gear set with standard emblems makes a significant difference.
