I dont know about other kingdoms, but my kingdom has is under a "king peace" which was started a while back. It meant alliace dont attack eachother except during player kill events.  Now everyone just focuses on keeping this kingdom safe from external threats while the top two allainces duke it out and ignore the rest of us. I dont think our situation is unique. Kingdom merge will cause major umheval in the power stuctures of all kingdoms and throw previously peaceful kingdoms into war.
